Note: This project file is to be used with the Xilinx EDK tools version 7.1. It is required to generate the libraries required to compile the Xilinx Virtex-II Pro (ML300) BSP for QNX Momentics 6.3.0 SP1.

Installing the Xilinx EDK prebuilt project archive


Caution: Before extracting this ZIP file you'll need to install the following components:
  • The Xilinx EDK tools version 7.1
  • The Xilinx ISE tools
  • The latest Xilinx patches for the EDK and ISE tools
  • The QNX BSP for the Xilinx Virtex-II Pro ML300 board.

  1. Log in as a user with system-administrator privileges.
  2. Log into your myQNX account on our website, and then go to the Download Center.
  3. Download the Xilinx EDK project archive which is at the same location as the Xilinx Virtex-II Pro BSP. It is in the form of a ZIP (.zip) archive (i.e. boardname_vv_v.v.v_project.zip). The boardname is the name of the Xilinx board, vv is the version of the Xilinx EDK tools, the v.v.v is the version number of this archive.

    For example, the file ml300_71_1.0.0_project.zip will install the first version of Xilinx EDK project for the Virtex-II Pro ML300 board. It is designed to be work with the Xilinx EDK tools version 7.1.

  4. Follow the Xilinx Virtex-II Pro BSP documentation for instructions on where to extract this ZIP archive and how to use it.

Uninstalling the Xilinx EDK prebuilt project archive

  1. Log in as a user with system-administrator privileges.
  2. Simply delete the directory where you've extracted the ZIP archive to.

Note:
  • To extract the source from the archive, use any application that supports the ZIP format (e.g. WinZIP). For more information, see the chapter "Working with a BSP" in the Building Embedded Systems manual.
  • The "roadmap" page (e.g. from the Windows XP start menu: Release notes-->All Programs-->QNX Momentics 6.3.0-->Documentation) contains links to the various HTML booksets that accompany the OS: System Architecture, Building Embedded Systems, Programmer's Guide, Library Reference, Utilities Reference, etc.
