Installing this TDK
Before you install this TDK, you must have already installed QNX Momentics 6.3
on a supported host.
If you have a legacy binary-update license key, you can't install the source components of a TDK. If you've installed previous alpha or beta versions of this TDK, you must uninstall them before installing this version. The patches required for this TDK are available via your myQNX account. Each patch includes installation information in an Installation Note, which you can download from your myQNX account, or locate within the patch tarball. The license key required to install this TDK is available from your myQNX account. |
On a Windows host
If you've installed QNX Momentics versions 6.2.1 and 6.3.0 so that they
coexist on your Windows host, please note:
|
- Log in as a user with system-administrator privileges.
- Log into your myQNX account on our website, and then go to the Download Center.
- Download the TDK package, tdk-ag-v.v.v-nnnnnnnnnnn-win32.exe, where the v.v.v in the filename is the version number of the TDK, and the nnnnnnnnnnn is an 11-digit build number. The package is in the form of an executable (.exe) file.
- Double-click the file in Windows Explorer or run it at the command line.
- Follow the instructions provided by InstallShield.
Windows XP SP2 may display a security warning the first time you install a TDK. You can verify the TDK's checksums when you download the file from our website.
On a Solaris or Linux host
- Log in as root.
- Log into your myQNX account on our website, and then go to the Download Center.
- Download the TDK package, tdk-ag-v.v.v-nnnnnnnnnnn-host.bin, where the host in the filename is either solaris or linux, the v.v.v is the version number of the TDK, and the nnnnnnnnnnn is an 11-digit build number. The package is in the form of a .bin script.
- Run chmod to make the script executable. For example:
chmod a+x tdk-ag-2.0.0-20061880930-linux.bin
- Run the script at the system prompt. For example:
$./tdk-ag-2.0.0-20061880930-linux.bin
- The graphical installer doesn't work on some versions of Linux, such as
Linux Red Hat EL Workstation 5.
Run the installer in console mode instead:
$./tdk-ag-2.0.0-20061880930-linux.bin -console
- If the installer prints many dots but never actually starts, it's
looking for a suitable version of Java.
You can speed this up by setting the JAVA_HOME variable.
For example in the bash shell:
export JAVA_HOME=/path/to/java
or:
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/j2rel1.4.2_09
- The graphical installer doesn't work on some versions of Linux, such as
Linux Red Hat EL Workstation 5.
Run the installer in console mode instead:
- Follow the instructions provided by InstallShield.
On a QNX Neutrino host
- Log in as root.
- Log into your myQNX account on our website, and then go to the Download Center.
- Download the TDK package, tdk-ag-v.v.v-nnnnnnnnnnn-qnx6.sh, where the v.v.v in the filename is the version number of the TDK, and the nnnnnnnnnnn is an 11-digit build number. The package is in the form of a shell script.
- Run chmod to make the script executable. For example:
chmod a+x tdk-ag-2.0.0-20062131228-qnx6.sh
- Run the script at the system prompt. For example:
./tdk-ag-2.0.0-20062131228-qnx6.sh
