QNX® Platform for ADAS 1.0 Reference Image for Texas Instruments Jacinto 6 EVM (SD Card Boot): Installation Note

Date of this edition: June 8, 2016

A target image (also referred to as a disk image or system image) is convenient to install and use because it contains an entire target system that includes a partition table and the partition contents. You can load a target image directly on to a storage medium, such as a micro SD card or USB stick, without having to modify partition information.

The QNX Platform for ADAS 1.0 includes a reference image for the Texas Instruments Jacinto 6 EVM.

For information about features and known issues, see the QNX Platform for ADAS 1.0 release motes.

This note includes:

Downloading the image

  1. Log in to your myQNX account on our website, then go to the Download area.
  2. Download the jacinto6evm-sd-nnnnnnnnnnnn.zip where nnnnnnnnnnnn is a build number.
  3. Verify the CRC and MD5 checksums with the packages in the Download area on our website. On Unix-style OSs (e.g., Linux), use the cksum utility to calculate the CRC checksum. Microsoft doesn\'t support such utilities on Windows, but they\'re available from third parties.
  4. Unzip the archive to a convenient location:
    • On Linux:
      unzip jacinto6evm-sd-201606091049.zip
    • On Windows, use a third-party application, such as WinZip.

Installing the image

For step-by-step instructions explaining how to transfer a reference image to a target, see the Install and Boot a Reference Image chapter in the Getting Started guide.
