Specify keyboard layout (QNX)

Syntax:

kbd kbfile

Options:

kbfile

The name of a keyboard layout file (typically the name of a country). You must specify the full pathname.

Description:

The kbd utility is used to configure the QNX keyboard driver to respond to a particular keyboard layout. The default keyboard layout is the United States configuration. Users of QNX in other countries will use the kbd utility at system initialization time to specify some other keyboard layout.

Examples:

Use the German keyboard layout:

    kbd /etc/config/kbd/Germany

Use a custom keyboard layout:

    kbd /etc/config/kbd/custom

Files:

/etc/config/kbd/

Keyboard layout files are typically found in this directory. Custom keyboard layouts can also be used by specifying the name of a custom keyboard file.
