We have set up this Hard Drive:
WD 102AA-00ANA0
255 Heads
63 Sectors
1247 Cylinders
on a PIII-500 system. We have used the entire disk as the QNX partition. When we put it into an older Pentium-200MMX system fdisk shows 1247 cylinders as the partition size but only 1027 cylinders as the disk size. The partition will of course not mount, what can be done about this? Does this look like a BIOS incompatibility problem.

Yes this is a BIOS compatability problem. You should turn off the LBA on the Pentium-200mmx system. |
