I am trying to create a dual boot system with a 20 GByte hard drive. I want to boot from a 1 GByte QNX partition during QNX development and from a 19 GByte Windows 98 (FAT32) partition during Windows development. If I install the QNX partition first, Win98 develops file errors. If I install Win98 first (19 GByte partition), QNX is not bootable. Can I accomplish this without booting from a floppy?

Solution |
The proper way to do this is to install Windows 98 first and then install QNX. When you install QNX choose to use the QNX bootloader at startup. When the message "Booting Partition #" comes up press the number (1 -4) of the partition that you want to use (You have to do this quickly). If you want to set the default operating system to boot into then run fdisk while in QNX and then choose the partition that you want to boot from and then press 'b'. A star should now appear beside that partition and that will be the partition that you boot from. Press 's' and then press 'q'. Now reboot your system.
