We are having (generic) problems with a VSBC-6 Single Board Computer. Is there any known issues with them running QNX?

| Solution |
There is a known BIOS upgrade that fixed several BIOS conflicts that were resolved with BIOS release 4.1.105. Use VSBC-6 BIOS version 4.1.105 or later. Make certain that you have upgraded the BIOS on the board as it fixed several problems. At the time of this knowledge base entry (06/28/2001) the latest version of the BIOS was 4.3.114, which included the following updates:
- Added IRQ6 into CMOS option items
- COM3, COM4, and LPT1 can now be completely disabled.
- Fixed third-party video problem.
- A video board plugged into the PC/104-Plus stack will now become the system video resource.
- Added BIOS extension feature.
- Enables user to install their own BIOS extension into an empty 64K byte block of the BIOS Flash component.
- Changed PCI IRQ routing to manual CMOS driven method.
- IRQs can now be more efficiently allocated. |
