PCMCIA error: "SOCKET 1 can not calculate socket size" |
Ref. No. |
QNX.000001390 |
Category(ies) |
PCMCIA, Configuration, Character I/O |
Issue |
We upgraded from 4.22 to 4.24 and the PCMCIA modem no longer works. So we re-installed 4.22, copied the pcmcia.trap and pcmcia.365sl to floppy and copied them back to 4.24.
We get the error: SOCKET 1 can not calculate socket size....
Modem appears as memory in pin output.

Solution |
There is no entry in the pcmcia.cards file for the modem.
The /etc/config/pcmcia.cards file from 4.22 has to be copied to the 4.24 machine OR a new entry will need to be created using "pin config >> /etc/config/pcmcia.cards" with the card in the PCMCIA slot. |
