Can you provide some information on the Watcom Integrated Develpment Environment (IDE)? |
| Solution |
An IDE normally allows a user to have easy graphical access to all parts of the compiling process (editing code, compiling & linking code, fixing errors, debugging code, and profiling execution of programs).
There is no Watcom IDE in QNX. There is a compiler, linker, debugger, editor, and profiler. However, they are all text based utilities and are not connected by one graphical IDE application. The avilable options are the commandline text mode, and PhAB (Photon Application Builder) in Photon which is a graphical interface for compiling Photon programs and doing rapid application development for graphical applications.
