When we use the utility "who", "ls" and some other utilities, the following error is displayed:
"Resource temporarily unavailable"
What causes this error?

| Solution |
'Resource temporary unavailable' error message is caused by some other process using whatever you are trying to access: likely the disk drive or the floppy drive.
If it locks up the system, run the various "sin"s from another node on it. If you can't access the node over the network (if it doesn't repsond) then reboot it. Try to get rid of any programs that are running that might be causing this problem: ones that access the disk a lot, or the 3rd party applications, or ones written by you.
If you eliminate everything but the regular QNX RTOS drivers, and such the problem should go away, you can start adding things until the problem shows up again, and by this point you have narrowed it down to the culprit application. |
