We run QNX Version 4.21 on Digial PC's PCT 64-A(466d2 MT). Can you tell us if we can run this version on a Pentium PC? If so, what is the fastest processor for this version of QNX?

| Solution |
There will be no troubles upgrading to a Pentium PC. If upgrading to a Pentium II, there may be sparodic problems with the floppy drive. If these problems are present, go into the system BIOS and slow the machine down. This is because there is a timing issue that sometimes happens with the new 100 MHz bus new P-2's use.
The fastest processor available in the Pentium family (233MHz MMX) has no reported problems. |
