We are using QNX4 and have attempted to print our graphics pages using a HP LaserJet 720 printer. It turns out that QNX4 does not have the necessary drivers. Could you please advise if there are any relatively low cost colour printers available which will work with QNX4.

The HP 700 series printers are `Windows-95' only printers. However, HP does have a lot of printers that will work with QNX4.
Pp.pcl will work with any of the HP 400/600/800 series printers.
When deciding on one of these printers, the quality of the printing and how much printing will be done will be the main deciding factors. The 400 series is cheap but it does not have black ink. The 600 series is recommended for home use. It's more expensive than the 400 series, but it is still reasonably priced. The expense is in the ink The 800 series is more expensive, but the ink costs less. The 800 is recommended if there will be a large amount of printing being done. |
