How do I obtain the IP address of my node? while on my machine, and when on another machine.

| Solution |
While on the local node you can type "netstat -n" and it will return the "Local Address" which will be the IP address of the node on the TCP/IP network.
From a remote location you can either "ditto" to the node and run "netstat -n" or check in the /etc/hosts file to see if there is an entry in it that has the assigned IP.
