Licensing issues with QNX 4.22A and QNX4.24 |
Ref. No. |

Category(ies) |
Installation, Configuration |
Issue |
We have QNX4.22A on node 2 and QNX4.24 on node 1. 'alive' on node 1 shows node 1 up, 'alive' on node 2 shows node 1 down. 'licinfo -a' shows:
QNX 0/1 TCP/RT 0/1
'netmap -f' on node 1 error: netmap: rejected node 2 and its MAC address invalid arguments.
'netmap -f' on node 2 shows no errors.

Solution |
The error is due to licensing, try the following:
1) Take the 4.22A license disk put it in the 4.24 machine (make sure that Fsys.floppy is running) and type: license. Then activate it by typing: license -r
2) repeat the above with the 4.24 license in the 4.22A machine
3) type 'licinfo -a', you should see: QNX 0/2 meaning that 2 licenses are available.
For detailed information, see the section on licensing (chapter 5) in the "QNX OS Installation and Configuration" manual. |
