Is there any anti-virus software available for QNX4? Is QNX affected by dos .exe viruses?

| Solution |
There is no such thing as anti-virus software for QNX. There are no viruses that will affect QNX the same way that they do in the Windows world. QNX does not have hidden files, things going on behind closed doors, etc. If a virus somehow manages to physically damage the hard drive, then the QNX partition may be affected.
Processes running on a QNX system are easily identified.
QNX4 is used in a different way than the home/work desktop environment. It is a development environment with target systems which are generally not succeptible or available to outside tampering. |
