We are having problems getting a Carrol touchscreen working with QNX Windows 4.24 on an Azonix Propanel 2000 platform, and had no luck looking for technical info on the Azonix website. We can not get any interactions/control at all. Any suggestions?

Solution |
Getting a touchscreen to work in QNX Windows is pretty straightforward. Here are the steps to getting a touchscreen working (please make sure to use the latest version of Touch).
1) Run Touch Touch &
2) Run Input. (It depends on what kind of controller) Eg. Input -d/dev/touchin carrol fd -d/dev/serN
Where N is the serial port the controller is plugged into.
3) Start the QNX Windows graphics driver. This can be done by starting QNX windows, and exiting. a) windows & b) Once it has started, hit Ctrl-PrintScrn to suspend c) windows -q to kill off windows d) do a 'sin' and make sure the graphics driver is running, gr.<type>
4) Run the calibration program; TCalib Finish Calibration, and restart windows.
5) Once the touchscreen is calibrated, all that's required is to run Touch and Input and then start Windows.
6) When the touchscreen is calibrated all you have to do from then on is run Touch and Input and start windows. |
