Does QNX4 support the Adaptec AHA-2940U2W SCSI adapter with the AIC-7890 chip? Is the new driver Fsys.aha8scsi included in QNX4.25C the driver for this chip?

No, the Fsys.aha8scsi driver has support for Adaptec's AIC-7870 and AIC-7880 chips. It is replacing the Fsys.aha7scsi driver. The Fsys.aha8scsi will eventually support the AIC-7890 chip. However, there is no release date for this feature.
The Fsys.aha8scsi driver is still in beta. For information on joining any of the QNX beta's then go to http://support.qnx.com/beta/index.html and follow the instructions. |
