Changing mouse connection type in Photon |
Ref. No. |

Issue |
We have changed our PS/2 mouse to a serial mouse, and when we restart Photon, the serial mouse does not work. Why?
|
Solution |
When the ph script (to start Photon) is run, one of the utilities that is run is the inputtrap utility. This utility probes for input devices and writes invocation commands along with appropriate options and arguments for starting the found devices to the /etc/config/trap/input.node file.
If the file /etc/config/trap/input.node file is removed, then the next time Photon is restarted, it will run inputtrap and rewrite the /etc/config/trap/input.node file and start Input with the correct options.
