Issue |
What are the differences between the '-d' and '-r' options for Net.fd?
|
Solution |
'-d' is used to pass a byte/second rate to Net.fd so it can calculate a reasonable timeout period for tx of a packet.
'-r' is the rate that Net.fd gives to Net so that Net can calculate load balancing if there is more than 1 network interface involved. '-r' can be ignored if there is only 1 network link to another node.
For more information, check the Net.fd entry in the "QNX OS Utilities - N to Z" manual. Also be sure to read the /etc/readme/technotes/Net.fd file. |
