      The Multimedia for QNX SDP includes a media engine that implements the Khronos Group's standard OpenMAX AL interface as well as some QNX additions. These additions let you extract, transcode, play, and record audio and video content in specific formats.

      You can use the OpenMAX AL media engine to decode an audio stream to a QNX buffer queue. You can then read the data items from the buffer queue, further process them if desired, and send them to the output.

Data:

XAuint32 formatType: The format type, which must always be XAQ_DATAFORMAT_ENCODED for this structure
XAuint32 domainType: The domain type, which can be any XA_DOMAINTYPE_* value
XAuint32 containerType: The container type, which can be any XA_CONTAINERTYPE_* value defined in the standard OpenMAX AL specification, or any XA_CONTAINERTYPE_QNX_* value defined in the QNX extensions
XAAudioStreamInformation_QNX audio_info: An XAAudioStreamInformation_QNX structure containing audio stream format information
