About the Sensor Framework for QNX SDP

The Sensor Framework add-on component helps you to develop applications that use cameras and sensors.

This software component provides APIs and services for interacting with and managing cameras and sensors connected to the target system. The VMware reference image contains an embedded system based on the Sensor Framework. You can configure the reference image to use other cameras, sensors, and even custom files. The Sensor Framework is built on the QNX Neutrino RTOS, a highly available, secure, realtime operating system.

To get started, use the QNX Software Center to install the following items onto your host system:

QNX SDP 7.1 Sensor Framework VMware reference image
QNX SDP 7.1 Sensor Framework Renesas Intel Support

Note:

Ensure that you look at the Sensor Framework Release Notes. To see these notes, in your browser, you must first log in to the QNX website with your myQNX account. Then, in the QNX Software Center, right-click Sensor Framework for QNX SDP from the Installed or Available tab, select Properties, and then click Release Notes.
